Introducing 40 WiNKS

Ah London! Several weeks ago I received an email from the fine folks at 40 WiNKS that made me nostalgic for the town of Big Ben, high tea, and ritzy department stores. 40 WiNKS is a teeny tiny gem of a boutique hotel located in East London and situated in a restored Queen Anne townhouse dating back to 1717. Inside you'll find beautiful interiors by renowned interior designer David Carter.

Carter created 40 WiNKS with fashion and creative industry folks in mind, intending to provide beautiful affordable accommodation in an area of London known for creative and artistic talent. 40 WiNKS has played host to a slew of celebrities (Helen Mirren, Thandie Newton, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Orlando Bloom, just to name a few) and served as the location for various photo shoots.

Aside from being easy on the eyes, 40 WiNKS is also easy on the pocketbook. The single room goes for £65 a night, and the double bedroom can be booked for £80 a night. If you know London prices, that's a downright bargain to stay in such a beautiful place!

P.S. Jennine from The Coveted also blogged about 40 WiNKS; check out her post here.

  4. Saturday Jane, I think you'll definitely have to book in advance if you're planning to stay there because 40 WiNKS only has 2 rooms--a single and a double.
