Not Here Today

Gorgeous blogger Sal of Already Pretty asked me to do a guest post on dance and body image! Please hop on over and check it out. Sal's writing on positive body image and style is so inspirational and helpful, and she truly is one of the most articulate, entertaining, and thoughtful bloggers out there. Needless to say, I was super-flattered when she approached me about doing a guest post.

Have a great weekend everyone! I'll be partaking in dim sum and dancing--what's everyone else up to?

  2. Hey lisa!! =DD ahhh oh gosh it's been so long since i've read your blog i've really missed it!! been so busy and tired from school that i haven't had the time to catch up with a lot of blog reading...

anyway gosh looks like you've been going places and doing lots of fun stuff! heh i'm definitely checking out the article you wrote for Sal. I love her blog too for its inspiring and comforting posts. So much of the blogosphere is dedicated to surface beauty that it's hard to find bloggers that are true to themselves...

  5. Hi Lisa. It was a good guest post, thank you for contributing to Already Pretty today. I find Sal's posts on body image really comforting and inspiring when I'm feeling low. Ya know, I started salsa dancing in school when I was in my third year of college, too. I haven't gone as frequently in the past few years, but your post reminded me it's time to dance again! I love salsa music and the way it makes people move. I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of your blog now.

  6. Loving your post on Sal's blog!

It's my last weekend at home before I go back to school (next weekend I'm taking off with the family) so I'm getting some last minute girl time in - girl's night out tonight!

And probably sleeping the rest of the time to recover!

  9. Hi, Lisa. I caught your wonderful guest post over on Sal's blog and started browsing through yours. I LOVE your style and your use of fun colors and feminine shapes, and will definitely add your blog to my reading list! I can also very much relate to your experience of discovering your athletic abilities and appreciating your body through dance after spending much of your life hating sports. (I do Scottish Country Dance myself - haven't tried salsa yet, but it looks incredibly fun!)

  10. Loved your guest post! I think dancing is a great way to keep fit and have fun at the same time. I don't really take classes anymore, but a lot of my friends are finding various forms of dance much better than having to work out in the gym... it's more social and more motivational than working out alone.

Hope you have a lovely weekend :)
