Latest Outfit: Blue Peplum & Tuxedo Trousers

Aritzia Babaton 'Cody' peplum | Judith & Charles 'Lana' tuxedo trousers | J. Crew 'Everly' pumps (more colours) | Forever 21 bracelet | Chanel WOC clutch | Dior 'Diablotine' gloss and nail polish (c/o)

Some outfits come together in a matter of minutes; others require a bit more planning; and still others enter your head and stick around for several weeks, patiently biding their time until the appropriate occasion. This combo--which I wore for The Lazy Gourmet and Roland Mouret at Hudson Bay's The Room--falls into the latter category. You might recognize the peplum blouse and tuxedo trousers from my spring shopping wishlist. I'm looking forward to mixing and matching these pieces with the other items in my closet, but for their first outing I couldn't resist using them to play up the cobalt-and-black print of these pumps.

Hope my Canadian readers are enjoying their Victoria Day long weekend; to everyone else, happy Monday!

  2. Absolutely LOVE tuxedo pants but I have yet to own a pair!

I love how you mixed a patterned pump with the tuxedo pants - great twist! And that Chanel clutch is so beautiful - it looks very sturdy and I love that!

    1. Tuxedo pants are very trendy this season but they're also quite classic. Now's the time to add a pair to your closet. :)

The Chanel clutch is actually very soft lambskin, so not quite as sturdy as caviar leather. I've been lucky--I've managed to avoid scratching it so far. *knock on wood*

  3. OMG - those shoe are adorable!

Also, thanks for stopping A Pear Shaped Gal and commenting on my jewelry tree post. I looked up the MALM dressers and that is a perfect way to store larger pieces of jewelry. I only wish I had room for it in the bedroom :-P

  4. The perfect work outfit - loving the tuxedo pants, CC clutch and the pop of blue! I've been looking around for a pair of nice tuxedo pants, but unfortunately I've had pretty bad experiences with them because of the length and straight leg :(

  5. However, women adore wearing these trousers as they make them look clean, soft and urbane person. Perchance this is the formal illustration that woman are generally expecting.Best Parkour Backpack
