Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush

Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush

Now that winter is on its way and cold-weather pallor along with it, I thought it'd be a good time to talk blush—specifically, Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush, a new range of blush compacts from Dior in 12 shades of pink, red, coral, and nude. Like almost everything Dior does, you can expect superior formulas and luxurious packaging (the glossy palette, the velvet pouch it slips into, the soft beveled brush!).

Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush delivers a second skin flush that looks like part of one's complexion thanks to little or no shimmer, and the most finely ground particles I've ever seen in a powder blush. Although I'm not usually a fan of the brushes that come with palettes, I can't imagine using a big fluffy brush with this blush. Not only does the compact's brush allow targeted application (contour with the tip, apply a soft wash of colour with the wide part), it picks up and deposits colour pigment evenly and with minimal mess and waste.

Let's take a closer look at four of the shades, shall we?

Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush in 'Rose Cherie' and 'Star Fuchsia'

'Rose Cherie' (left) is a warm, universally flattering peachy pink that's great for everyday wear. 'Star Fuchsia' (right) is a cool, bright pink and my personal favourite: it looks fantastic on fair-skinned girls with cool colouring and has the right undertone to complement purple, plum, fuchsia, and blue-based red lipsticks.

Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush in 'Mimi Bronze'

'Mimi Bronze' is like a bronzier version of 'Rose Cherie', a nude shade that brings sun-kissed warmth and peachy pink to complexions.

Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush in 'Brown Milly'

'Brown Milly' is the other nude shade in the range, a cool plum-based hue.
