Product Review: Cover Girl Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara

Cover Girl Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara

Longtime readers of this blog know that I'm not a fan of gimmicky mascaras that don't work and I'm big on smudge-proof formulas. Cover Girl Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara ($11.99 at London Drugs), I'm sad to say, is a gimmicky mascara that doesn't work, and smudges more than other tried-and-true LashBlast mascaras.

The two-step system purports to deliver big, sexy, bombshell lashes that are ten times more noticeable than bare lashes. In reality, Step 1 delivered natural-looking length and definition, while Step 2 ruined Step 1 by clumping on excess product and making my lashes look overdone and brittle. I recommend sticking to classic LashBlast Volume and LashBlast Length instead.

  1. Agreed! I didn't think it smudged too much on me, but it was a pain in the ass to remove! Lash Blast is way better!

    1. Re. the smudging: I think I have freakishly oily eyelids. The bright side is, if a mascara doesn't budge on me, it's not going to budge on anyone else.
