Lazy Girl Approved: Annabelle Lipsies Lip Balm

Lazy Girl Approved highlights long-lasting, goof-proof, fuss-free products that can fit into the most minimalist of regimens. If you consider yourself a low-maintenance beauty lover, these product reviews are for you!

Even the most low-maintenance among us counts lip balm as an essential, and the new Annabelle Lipsies Lip Balm ($4.95 at drugstores) gives this makeup bag staple a fruit-scented twist. It's a pretty fun throwback to my childhood days, when my lip products of choice were watermelon LipSmackers and cherry ChapStick. Shall we take a closer look?

Currently Craving: Gap's Perfect Little White Dresses

Why Gap's little white dresses are the best

Is there anything more ideal than a little white dress in the spring and summer? It's fresh and effortless, a complete outfit in and of itself. I've been stocking up on my LWDs at the Gap, and in my opinion they're the best ones at the mass retailer level. Here's why.

My Fragrance Favourites

Fragrance faves: Miss Dior Hair Mist and Blooming Bouquet, AERIN Ikat Jasmine and Rose de Grasse, Chanel Beige

As I've gotten older, I've found myself veering away from very obvious gourmand perfumes with vanilla notes, or generic "fresh" scents which all smell more or less the same to my uneducated nose. Now I find myself seeking light yet sophisticated and distinctive fragrances, like these five tried-and-true favourites.

Product Review: MAKE UP FOR EVER Ink Liner Matte Liquid Eyeliner

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ink Liner Matte Liquid Eyeliner

I can count on one hand the number of black liquid and gel eyeliners that have achieved Holy Grail status in my books. That is, they deliver all-day wear and stay put without transfer or fading. MAKE UP FOR EVER Ink Liner Matte Liquid Eyeliner ($27) falls just shy of that mark, but there are many things to love about this liner.

Latest Outfit: Dressed Up Sweatpants & A Big Announcement

Dress up sweatpants with a blazer, glitzy statement necklace and sharp oxfords.

Oh hey, it's been a while since my last outfit post, hasn't it? The boy and I have been dealing with some personal stuff the past couple months, hence the erratic posting lately and the announcement I'm about to make.

Product Review: Estee Lauder Little Black Primer

Estee Lauder Little Black Primer

It's only been a week of testing, but I can already tell that the new Estee Lauder Little Black Primer ($27) will be as essential to my makeup arsenal as the LBD or the little black clutch is to my wardrobe. This black-tinted primer blends in with lashes, unlike traditional white primers. (Why didn't anyone think of this before?!) What's more, it can be used three ways: as a primer that amplifies lashes; as a lash tint; and as a topcoat that waterproofs and extends the wear of your normal mascara.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadows

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadows

I'm more of an eyeshadow hoarder than wearer, which explains why it took me forever to test out the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadows ($24 each) that I received last fall at an event. The 210-shade range launched in September 2014 and comprises matte, satin, metal, iridescent and diamond finishes, and boasts pigment atomization and water-blend technology. The formula delivers 88% colour pigment (the highest concentration on the market), and purportedly took MUFE three years to develop.

Currently Craving: White Lace & Eyelet

White eyelet and lace tops, skirts, and dresses for spring and summer
1. Top ($118) | 2. Pencil skirt ($120) | 3. Dress ($79.90) | 4. Eyelet stripe skirt ($59.95) |
5. Trelliswork eyelet skirt ($108)

I think it's safe to say that white lace and eyelet have reached "nouveau wardrobe classic" status. This season's offerings veer from whimsical (hello, pineapple lace!) to feminine and effortlessly modern, but they all have one thing in common: You'll want to buy them now and wear them constantly, and you'll look forward to wearing them again when spring rolls around next year. Pair with other nouveau wardrobe classics like denim jackets, boyfriend jeans, army jackets, and chambray shirts, and keep a Tide to Go pen handy in case of mishaps.

Gorgeous Brows, Simplified

2 products, 30 seconds, no extra brushes: how to get gorgeous brows the quick and easy way

Gels, powders, palettes, and brushes, oh my: The world of brow products has certainly grown since every other woman began coveting Cara Delevingne's thick arches. Choice is good, but when it comes to getting ready in the mornings I'm all about simplicity, which is why I'm a fan of these two pencils. They've made previous appearances on the blog, but I figured they deserve additional mentions since I'm using mine down to the stubs. Here's how I do my brows in under a minute.
