About

Vancouver blogger Lisa Wong of Solo Lisa wears a Madewell chambray shirt and cognac leather booties, J. Crew cognac leather belt and polka dot invitation clutch, Chinti and Parker skirt from Vancouver boutique Oliver and Lilly's, and a silver charm bracelet from Birks.

It all started as a means of procrastination. Back in 2007, I was in my final year of university, spending hours in the library doing research and writing papers. My "study breaks" were increasingly spent surfing fashion blogs and websites; eventually I thought it might be fun to start my own.

Solo Lisa has since evolved from a personal site into a site focused on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I never imagined when I started that I'd be published in FLARE magazine or reviewing top-notch beauty products, or that I would meet such great people in the process.

Outside of blogging, I work full-time in the software industry as a technical writer and occasionally do some freelance writing for fashion publications. I enjoy salsa dancing, yoga, cooking, and seeing new movies on opening weekend. I'm a born-and-raised Vancouverite who currently calls Mt. Pleasant home. I like lipstick more than gloss, savoury more than sweet, and although I believe heels are inherently sexier than flats, what's sexiest of all is a woman who feels confident and can actually walk in her shoes.

Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy your visit.
