The Cozy Introvert Gift Guide

A shout-out to gorgeous blog/barre buddy Sheila, who commented on yesterday's post and inadvertently predicted the theme of today's gift guide! I'm the type of girl for whom "introvert" is a verb, and today's gift guide spotlights the items that have made my Cold Weather Cozy Indoors Time delightful. Bring on all the hot drinks, new books, and Netflix. If you have someone on your list who's the same way, all I can say is happy introverting!

1. Smash and Tess 'Sunday' Romper ($120). I received this romper in moss green at a recent media preview, and true to its name, it's become an indispensable part of my weekend routine. It's stretchy and soft, with no seams, waistbands, or clasps that dig in. So far it has held up well in the wash with no pilling.

2. Indigo Bearly Plaid Bunny Faux Fur Throw Blanket ($59.50). Faux fur throws are usually shaggy with a long, loose pile. That's great for a season or two but doesn't hold up to wear and tear (and don't get me started on the shedding). This one has a short, dense pile with zero shedding and is crazy soft. Best paired with popcorn and a cheesy holiday movie.

3. PJ Salvage Flannel Pajama Set (approx. $100). "Buy less, but buy better" should extend to sleepwear too. The PJ Salvage flannels I bought five years ago are still going strong and by far the softest, warmest, best cold weather pajamas I've ever purchased. This year I'm eyeing a new set with a "Dogs in PJs" motif.

4. Kobo Clara HD ($139.95). Small, portable, long battery life, wifi-enabled so you can shop for ebooks in the Kobo store. If you have a valid library card, you can also use the built-in OverDrive integration to borrow ebooks from the Vancouver Public Library. Lawrence and I were so ecstatic when we set up OverDrive on our Kobo readers and checked out our first books (titles we would have considered buying anyway), we did happy dances around the condo and squealed, "It's freeeee!!!!!"

5. David's Tea Candy Cane Crush. This low-caffeine black tea has white chocolate and peppermint bits that melt, giving the brew a hint of sweetness and creaminess. I love sipping this in the evenings when I want a festive hot beverage but I don't want anything too sugary.

6. Love and Lore Velour Pom Pom Slippers ($29.50). The furry lining keeps feet toasty, while the little grips on the bottom are great for condo hardwood floors. Plus, how cute are those pom poms?

7. Odacité Gua Sha Tool ($62.04). Fig gave me one heck of a facial massage with this gua sha tool at a media preview recently. It's larger than other gua sha tools I've seen and the contours fit my face so well. Available for purchase at Fig.

8. Burt's Bees Conditioning Lip Scrub and Overnight Intensive Lip Treatment ($9.99 on sale for $7.99 each at London Drugs, previously featured in this post). Like I said before, these make great stocking stuffers!

9. Saje Uplifted Days Energizing Diffuser Kit ($110). I've been putting lavender oil in my Saje diffuser in the evenings when I want to relax or foam roll in front of the TV. Sans essential oils, it also doubles as a stylish humidifier.

10. Fresh Unmask the Magic Gift Set ($99). Sheet masks are a lot of fun, but they can generate a lot of waste compared to jarred masks. I've always been a fan of Fresh masks for their luxurious scents and textures and how they revitalize my skin.

11. Glitterville Book Ornament ($15). You can't go wrong with gifting a pretty ornament, especially one that's a nod to the recipient's bookworm ways.

12. Happy Plugs Air1 In-Ear Truly Wireless Headphones ($119.99 on sale for $79.99 at Best Buy). I received a set of these from Best Buy at a recent media preview and have been liking them so far. Bluetooth connection, up to 14 hours' play time on a single charge, and best of all, no more tangled wires. Great for listening to podcasts as I clean or meal prep.

  1. YESSSSSSSSSSSS! Thanks for the shoutout :)

I've been looking at the PJ Salvage prints this year - they have a lip print that is so up my alley but I don't love the super thick flannel type of PJ anymore.

I LOVE Indigo fleecy blankets though. They are so warm and cosy, and the prints are so classic and pretty.

    1. The lip print is cute too! But the dog one has a corgi on it, and I can't resist a cute corgi.

What sort of PJs do you like these days?

This is my first Indigo throw and I'm still so thrilled with it. It's so soft that I keep petting it while I'm watching TV without realizing haha.
