Canada Goose Women's Hybridge Lite Jacket

Rumour has it that metro Vancouver is expecting snow today or Thursday. And while I usually favour tailored wool coats when the mercury drops, a part of me nevertheless wants this Hybridge Lite jacket (approx. $445) from Canada Goose. I first set eyes on it when I was lucky enough to have dinner with Canada Goose's CEO, Dani Reiss, at Hawksworth Restaurant in October and it's been stuck in my mind ever since.

Super warm without being heavy or bulky, this light-as-air jacket weighs only 0.5 lbs and self-packs into an exterior pocket, making it the ideal travel companion for that quick holiday getaway to a ski chalet. I love this as a city jacket though: one or two layers underneath are all a girl needs to face the coldest of Vancouver winters.

Canada Goose is world-renowned for outfitting scientists in Antarctica, visitors admiring the polar bears around Churchill, Manitoba, and intrepid explorers who scale Mount Everest. But it's nice to know they also make sleek outerwear for those of us who don't want to do anything more strenuous than walk a dog while drinking a latte at the same time.

  3. I want the Expedition parka. Having no tolerance for cold whatsoever, I tend live in my puffy parkas from November to March.

  4. I would love a Canada Goose coat, I even debated volunteering in Whis during the Olympics to try to nab one! I especially love the neutrality of this one though, it would be perfect in the city. I'm pretty north right now and still no snow, fingers crossed for tomorrow AS LONG as it's not wet snow! What you said is right...better cold and dry than...well wet either way haha.

Hope you're having a good week so far love.

  5. i LOVE this jacket! I have a Nobis parka myself, which is also canadian and made with Goosedown but doesn't mean I don't still want this =). They look like they are very good quality. The price is steep but I think worth it.

A puffy parka is a must for winters, and it ensures I'm warm and dry but still looking good when I'm out running errands and walking Nala.

  6. The cut of this jacket looks good! Nice to know I can still look stylish sipping hot chocolate while the rest of the crew is out on the mountain.

  7. I have been looking at the Canada Goose jackets for a couple of months now...still debating which to get. Normally I can get away with my wool coat and a really heavy track jacket I bought in HK a few years ago....but I'm getting a puppy in a month or two so I will be taking lots of late night walks and I want to be as WARM as possible.
