Today's Outfit: More Strategic Layering

As you may remember from this post, when the weather gets cold and I want to wear a skirt, more thought has to go into my layering process. I wore this outfit last Wednesday when the cold temperatures coincided with the office Skirt Day. Although it doesn't appear super-warm or bulky, in reality almost all of my body is covered with 2-3 layers--toasty and windproof, just the way I like it.
  • Tee (Smart Set)
  • Dress (Topshop)
  • Cardigan (Peel Designs)
  • Tights (H&M)
  • Knee-high socks (Exposure)
  • Boots (Aldo)
  • Earrings (Claire's)
  • Squirrel necklace (Wendy Brandes)
P.S. Remember when I popped by Madison on Main for this cardigan? It was there that I met fashion industry Jane-of-all-trades Tanya King. Check out my interview with her published on Stylefinds today.

  1. Florals are so unexpected in winter, I love it.

  2. You're the mistress of layers, Lisa. Perhaps even the Yoda of layers. I need to take more notes because while I still wear skirts constantly, my freezing knees HATE me.

  4. Lisa you totally inspire me to wear more skirts in the cold. I'm the one that freezes really easily, but I see that I should wear them with some tights to keep me warm... I'll try! I'll try! I usually skip the skirts and opt for skinny jeans with boots.
