Latest Outfit: Swiss Dots

The days are getting shorter, the sun sets a little earlier each evening, and sometimes it's chilly enough in the shade to make me wish I had a light cardigan. Sad though the truth may be, I have to face it: It's August now, and summer is half over. Sigh.

On a brighter note, I'm glad this JACHS blouse made it out of customs and to my doorstep while the warm weather holds up. Its sleeveless collared style and Swiss dot pattern make it the sort of irresistible classic a girl would want to wear with anything. Here I've gone the prim-and-proper route by buttoning the top button, tucking the blouse into tailored tie-waist shorts, and accessorizing with a sparkly statement necklace. But I could just as easily leave the top button unbuttoned and tie the tails to give a sleek pencil skirt a more casual twist.

Now, speaking of enjoying the summer to its fullest, I'm going to get off the computer and relax with a few magazines and mini freezies. To my BC readers, enjoy the long weekend!
