Today's Outfit: Not Quite A Lumberjack

Every autumn, some savvy fashion authority declares that plaid is back and that the world is mad for plaid, but come on--plaid is a classic and has never really gone out, has it? For me, plaid evokes all sorts of pleasant associations: Scottish clans, school uniform skirts, lumberjacks, Christmas dresses made for little girls...the list goes on. What does plaid make you think of?

  • Plaid shirt (Forever 21)
  • Sleeveless cardigan (Peel Designs)
  • Jeans (Old Navy)
  • Boots (Miz Mooz via LF Boutique, New York)
  • Toque (H&M)
  • Arm warmers (Spank)

  9. Cute outfit! I love how the red plaid peeks out from beneath your black vest - the look reminds me of something Charlotte York would wear.

Plaid does remind me of lumberjacks right away, then Main Street hipsters, but regardless I still love the pattern. Oh! Scotsmen and kilts! I also think of flannel and how warm it is, plaid flannel is fashion and function - can't go wrong with that!

good find on those $14 gloves. I still need to find a pair of leather gloves for myself too!
