My Spring Shopping Wishlist

Ever mindful of my New Year's resolution to "buy less, but buy better," I'm limiting my spring shopping wishlist to six items that will mix well with what I already have and refresh staid basics with a welcome dose of colour. That's not to say I might not be tempted by an inexpensive statement necklace or a very good sale, but at this point I'll be more than happy with the pieces I've chosen above.

What's on your shopping list this spring?

  1. I was definitely hinting at how much I loved your bag to David after we went to dinner on Friday, haha! I love the bold colours in your spring shopping list. I'm definitely looking to add more timeless, elegant prints to my closet and I want the pieces to either be super classic or would be standout pieces in a closet. In other words, no more impulse, fast fashion buys!

Have a great week and thanks again for bringing us out for a great meal (and introducing me to the delicious horchata water)! Play date for the boys soon ;)

  3. I'm planning on ordering that skirt in green! I have the wool version in purple and I L-O-V-E it.

I'm really trying to limit my spending, since I'll be in Glasgow in April and it looks like HK in November-so I'm trying to stick to a couple of things I absolutely NEED (another pencil skirt for when my wool one gets too warm, and a new black cardigan since mine has a hole!). I don't have a ton of work clothes, but enough to get me buy-I'm focusing more on casual weekend items now.

    1. Another J. Crew pencil skirt fan! It's interesting how we both gravitate towards the brightly coloured ones.

  4. Nice find of the Zara collar! I almost bought a similar one from Topshop online, but was then discouraged by shipping + duties.

I tried J.Crew's Toothpick jean and they were surprisingly flattering (my legs are definitely not skinny). I would have bought them except I didn't want to carry a shopping bag to a show and figured I'd return for them later. Except I never made it back - bummer!

  5. I love bright colors this season as well. I got an orange cardi from H&M that washed really well. : )

  7. I could not agree with you more about the bag and the collar, they would be such perfect spring additions! I just noticed some shoots coming out today and it made me way too happy...I can't wait to start some much-needed spring shopping!

  9. Great picks! I love the grey pleated skirt and i think it'll look fab on you. The sequined collar is showing up everywhere so that is a must.

My list - well i already got pastel denim and mocs but I would LOVE a new casual bag in a popping colour (looking at Alexander wang mustard yellow duffel or maybe finally jump on a balenciaga in a bright hue). Pleated skirt and cropped bra top.
